Mariah Carey saddened by the death of YouTuber from the Philippines

MANILA, Philippines – American pop icon Mariah Carey has expressed her sadness over the passing of YouTube star Lloyd Cadena. The Filipino vlogger, whose untimely disappearance at age 26 shocked the online community on Friday, was a huge fan of the singer.

“Very sad. RIP Lloyd, we will miss you. Sending my prayers to his family and friends during this difficult time,” he wrote on his Twitter account.

Carey also included a post from Mariah Carey Philippines fan club in the tweet.

The publication said that the internet superstar was one of its most beloved members: “He will be remembered as a generous, kind, loving and humble human being.

“He was one of Mariah Carey’s biggest fans. Rest in power, Lloyd. We love you.”

With more than five million YouTube subscribers and 6.5 million Facebook followers, Cadena was known for his funny and witty videos.

Cadena’s death was announced in a statement posted on his official Facebook page on Friday afternoon as his family requested prayers and privacy. No other details have been revealed.
