EUMIR MARCIAL announced his entry into the professional ranks with a unanimous decision victory over Andrew Whitfield on Thursday morning (Manila time) at the Shrine Exposition Center in Los Angeles.
The Philippine middleweight, one of two boxers making the Philippine Olympic team for the Tokyo 2020 Games, faced the 29-year-old American in an entertaining four-round fight that Marcial dominated.
Marcial won on all three judges’ scorecards by similar scores of 40-36.
