Manny Pacquiao, a senator from the Philippines, vows to stand his ground with his compatriots as his nation is currently dealing with the trauma left by Typhoon Goni. 2020 has already been a tough year for everyone and it continues to scratch us even in its final phase.

While we are only 2 months away from 2021, a storm has wreaked havoc in the Philippines. According to reports, there has been serious damage across the country and compatriots are fighting hard against it.

Meanwhile, the eighth world champion, Pacquiao took to social media to spread positivity and wisdom among his compatriots.

Being one of the strongest role models in the country, Pacquiao’s words were certainly a silver lining. However, they were not enough to cope with the tragedy. ‘Pac-Man’ recently posted some images from his Twitter account, showing the exact condition of the country at the moment.

It is clear that there has been serious property damage and many have apparently been made homeless. Not only that, but a shortage of adequate sanitation and food can also be a problem. While COVID-19 is not over yet, this is an additional hurdle for the Philippines.

Will Manny Pacquiao return to boxing amid such conditions?

Pacquiao had his last fight against Keith Thurman in 2019. Earlier this year, it was rumored that he would return to the ring against Terence Crawford.

Then it was rumored that he might land a cross-promotion boxing match against Conor McGregor. However, none of these fights ever materialized.

That said, Pac-Man may not be returning to the ring anytime soon, as a senator his first duty is to help his countrymen and women in these tumultuous times. However, Pacquiao still holds the WBA super welterweight title, citing that he still has a few fights left.
