MANILA, Philippines – A 41-year-old man was arrested in Agusan del Norte for his Facebook post criticizing President Rodrigo Duterte and Senator Christopher “Bong” Go on Wednesday afternoon.
Caraga Brig Police Director. General Joselito Esquivel arrested Reynaldo Orcullo, a vendor who lives in Barangay Triangulo, Nasipit city, for alleged defamatory statements posted on Facebook, which they allegedly called the president “dumb”.
“ALAM NA PATTERN, MOSALIDA SI GO KONUHAY SIYA MOHANGYO SA BUANG NGA PANGULO, DIGONG G ***. BUANG SI DIGONG, “Orcullo wrote on Facebook.
(We already know the pattern. Go will create a scripted demand for that dumb Digong. Digong is a dummy.)
Members of the Regional Cybercrime Unit (RACU) 13 and the Nasipit municipal police station arrested Orcullo at his residence at 3 p.m.

Orcullo is detained in RACU 13 while preparing complaints for violation of Section 4 (4) of the Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012 (cyberlibel) against him.
Police also confiscated his cell phone that he used to post on Facebook.
Esquivel reminded netizens to be responsible and make sure that no law is violated by posting content online.
“Again I remind our social media users to think three times before posting on any social media platform. Be responsible netizens. We enjoy the blessings of democracy, but we never go beyond what you think is right regardless of whether you violate the provisions of the law, “he said in a statement.
