The Magat dam in Isabela opened some of its gates Sunday morning to release water.
Six gates of the Magat dam in Isabela were still open at 12 meters at 6 am, data from PAGASA showed.
The water in the Magat Dam reservoir reached 191.60 meters at 6 a.m. Saturday, which was only a few meters from the spill level of the 193-meter dam.
A door was opened for the first time on Saturday, then it became four and then six.
On Sunday at 6 in the morning, the water level was at 191.32 meters.
At 9 a.m. Sunday, only four gates of the Magat dam were open, said the National Irrigation Administration MARIIS-DRD’s Flood Warning and Forecast System Dam Operation (FFWSDO).
The Magat Dam water reservoir level stood at 191.21 meters at 9 a.m.
Meanwhile, the water level in the Buntun River was 11.25 meters at 9 a.m.
The NIA-MARIIS-DRD office has announced that only four doors have been opened since six yesterday.

Angat Dam
