President Duterte has approved the longest list of 104 projects worth P4.1 trillion in the “Build, Build, Build” portfolio.
The list now includes additional health and information technology infrastructure that will allow Filipinos to better adapt to the “new normal” brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Acting Secretary for Socio-Economic Planning Karl Kendrick T. Chua told the Senate finance committee Thursday that of these high-value infrastructure projects, 24 were still in the preparation or approval stages, which would be accelerated this year to that could be implemented from the next. year.
Most or 80 of the projects in the updated portfolio, approved on August 19 by the Board of the National Economic Development and Development Authority (Neda), which is chaired by the president, were already under execution, Chua said.
