The problem arose from a tweet from Sovereign dated September 6 in which he complained about the Internet service provided by a particular telecommunications company.
“Converge really needs to start fixing its internet speed. I am a dissatisfied customer, ”he tweeted on September 6.
He also described them as “unprofessional” because they allegedly did not answer any of his calls.

On September 8, Soberano wrote an update also on his Twitter account and said: “Okay, so PLDT came to my house yesterday and connected me to the best Internet that I have experienced in my 5 years of living in this house. 300 MBPS. What a life saver. Delay? I don’t know her. “
The next day, Soberano said that he came across some tweets from people being upset and found his tweet about having fast internet offensive.
“I’m sorry that your telecom provider is not taking care of your problems. It was by no means my intention to brag. I was really relieved to finally have fast internet. I know it is a problem that we are all struggling with right now. So please, to all ISPs, do everything you can to help people, especially at a time like this when the Internet has become essential. We are all trying to survive and finish school and work, ”he said.
The actress also approached an employee of her former Internet service provider, who allegedly disclosed her personal information.
“Don’t try to turn this on me. My whole spiel was about poor customer service. That’s pretty shallow of you trying to make it look like it’s my fault why I have bad internet. I could go on and on, but the bottom line is treating your customers fairly, no matter who they are. Because people work hard to pay for the Internet and most of our work is now done online, ”he said.

After his posts, Soberano drew attention that there was an alleged Converge employee who allegedly made a rape comment against him.
The actress herself retweeted a screenshot of the comment on her Twitter account that says: “We have nothing to do, no work, so it doesn’t matter if the image is damaged, it just makes money. Sarap ipa-rape sa mga…. I do not know!”
It is not clear if said employee is the same one that Soberano already referred to in his previous post.
Meanwhile, Converge posted this statement on its Facebook page on Monday.
“We are deeply concerned about the incorrect comments and behavior of some employees on social media. We do not tolerate such actions towards any client and we emphasize that their personal opinions do not reflect the perspective, values and culture of the company, ”he said.
Converge said that “they are currently taking care of this matter and that we will apply the corresponding disciplinary measures.”
