Singer Jennie of the K-pop girl group Blackpink is South Korea’s most popular female idol for the second month in a row, according to the Korea Business Research Institute.
Mamamoo’s Hwasa took second place on the institute’s list for November, while Lisa, Jennie’s Blackpink bandmate, took third place.
On the high school male idol list, BTS’s Jimin came in first, Astro’s Moonbin came in second, and NCT’s Jaehyun came in third.
The institute’s rankings are based on several factors, including analysis of consumer participation, media coverage, interaction, and community ratings for various girl groups.
Rounding out the high school top 10 for November were Twice’s Nayeon, Chaeyong, and Jihyo (fourth, fifth, and sixth), Jisoo (seventh), Twice’s Sana (eighth), Blackpink’s Rose (ninth), and Mamamoo’s Solar (tenth).
Last week, Blackpink was named the World’s Greatest Music Act for November on Bloomberg’s Pop Star Power Rankings.
