Blackpink’s Lisa (Lalisa Manobal) is one of the brightest lights in K-pop. At age 14, Thailand-born Manobal became the first non-Korean trainee on Blackpink’s YG Entertainment label. She is now Blackpink’s lead rapper and dancer, and today MAC announced that she will be their new global ambassador.

Blackpink is currently the largest girl group in the world. His videos accumulate millions of views thanks to his fans, known as Blinks (in fact, “Boomboyah” recently reached 1 billion). Blinks also uses its power online to help fight racism. In May, they trolled white supremacists by flooding Twitter with fancams (videos of their favorite Blackpink members, including Lisa). The fandom will surely approve of Lisa’s new work, given MAC’s history of believing that beauty comes in all shades, genders, and ages.

In a press release, Lisa said, “I’ve always been a huge M · A · C fan! I like how the brand turns makeup into a form of self-expression, which always gives me a lot of confidence on stage. Together with M · A · C, I am excited to invite and empower more audiences as we both have individuality and diversity at our core. “

It is not known if there will be specific collections created by Lisa, but the brand says she will be the face of campaigns and a muse. In her first official MAC photo posted to Instagram, she is promoting the brand’s Powder Kiss lipstick in Mull It Over.
