MANILA, Philippines – Like their five-on-five counterparts in the PBA, Chooks-to-Go Pilipinas 3×3 players will be required to practice minimum health standards in their own seasonal bubble in Calamba.

I mean, like what’s being rolled out in PBA season 45, 3×3 league players won’t be able to high-five and shake hands with each other in and out of games.

This was what Chooks-to-Go Pilipinas 3×3 lead physician Dr. Butch Ong reiterated during a press conference last Wednesday.

“We will continue to practice our minimum health standards inside the bubble. Handshakes and highs are discouraged while conducting games inside the bubble,” Ong said.

“In fact, kahit Hindi Naglalaro, they will continue to perform physical distancing, etc. Staff and other members [also] wear their masks and face shields, “he added.

This to ensure a healthy and safe environment for all parties involved during the new coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

Skirmishes have already started in the league bubble within the Inspire Sports Academy in Calamba, Laguna following negative COVID-19 tests for the initial seven teams that made it to the bubble.

The league’s President’s Cup will begin next week, beginning with a preseason event on Monday through the Grand Final on October 30.
