Lady Agilas advances, men’s team falters in Asian online chess
The Philippines defeated Sri Lanka in two matches to advance to the semi-finals in the women’s division of the 2020 Asian Nations Online Chess Cup on Friday.
Female grandmaster Janelle Mae Frayna and female international master Jan Jodilyn Fronda and Kylen Joy Mordido clinched the Philippines 3.5-0.5 win over Sri Lanka in the first of two quarterfinal matches. final to gain the initial advantage.
