Lacson laughs at claim that he already received the COVID-19 vaccine

Senator Panfilo Lacson on Tuesday refused to give a categorical answer if it was true that he had already been injected with a COVID-19 vaccine.

“I’ll laugh at you,” Lacson said in a radio interview while laughing.

The hosts of the show tried to ask him where he could access the alleged COVID-19 vaccine but he replied, “Kung totoo nga. Eh hindi ko naman din aminamin.”

Lacson has not yet responded to GMA News Online’s request for a categorical response, but over the weekend he already hinted that it might just be a joke.

It was the president of the Senate, Vicente Sotto III, who mentioned for the first time that Lacson and the leader of the majority of the House, Martín Romualdez, received vaccines against the new disease.

He said he first learned of this on September 16, directly from Romualdez, during a meeting with President Rodrigo Duterte in Malacanang.

Romualdez, meanwhile, has not yet commented on the matter.

The Health Department reiterated that no COVID-19 vaccine has yet been approved in the country.

He warned manufacturers, suppliers and distributors that there are laws against the distribution of products not registered with the Food and Drug Administration.—LDF, GMA News
