The Netherlands has canceled the season, it seems that France will do the same, the Bundesliga is about to return and Serie A and the Premier League are making plans. What do you think about the resumption of the season and do you have any concerns?
I think it has always been a case of when, not if. The season is 70 percent complete and the financial ramifications are staggering, not to mention that a ‘null and void’ season would surely cast doubt on the integrity of the Premier League.
Obviously health is paramount, and this will also be a key priority when football resumes in the UK, but there are too many sports in this country to cancel and say ‘well we will be back next year’. .
As the situation with respect to the coronavirus pandemic continues to improve and there is a legitimately safe way to resume soccer, carrying out the remainder of the soccer season should be a priority.
As a Liverpool fan, I am excited for the eventuality that we win the league, but I would be saying this if I was also an Everton fan.
It is a shame that the leagues further down the football ladder in England have already been canceled.

I would love to see Timo Werner sign for Liverpool this summer – he’s been on fire in Germany and looks like a true superstar.
I’m not sure how it would fit into our starting eleven.
Perhaps Roberto Firmino would be deployed in an even deeper role to allow a poacher to play ahead of Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane, but if Klopp wants it, I want it.
Elsewhere, Liverpool has many other players that come through the system. Which one of them is most excited to see more during the rest of this season and next?
Obviously I have to mention at least Harvey Elliott, but I can’t lie and say he’s not Curtis Jones either.
While it’s not the most important thing, I love having local guys on the side.
Trent Alexander-Arnold grew up on the way from where I went to school, and he used to have a flat not far from where Jones grew up.

But it seems that almost everyone who doesn’t support Liverpool spends their time trying to undermine and diminish our recent achievements.
We are one of the best teams in the world, stop pulling out the stats, desperately trying to tell us that Virgil van Dijk averaged fewer interceptions per game than Alessandro Nesta, and just admit it.
