Who is better to give coach Bong Ravena his first loss of the season than his own son, Kiefer?
NLEX’s guard fighter fired a three-point dagger to the right when needed to seal it for the Road Warriors against Ravenna’s biggest Tropang Giga in a Thursday night game at the University of Angels Foundation gym.
In the tense closing frame, TNT cut the Road Warriors’ 10-point lead to five with less than a minute left in the fourth.
But Kiefer never strayed from the crucial shots, he had a total of 16 points, nine rebounds and three assists, a favorable contribution when NLEX edged out Tropang Giga, 109-98.
After the game, Ravena led some kind digs and praise to her father.
“It is always a pleasure to play against my first coach! Motivated to play well against him and to this day, he is my number one critic,” he said in an Instagram photo uploaded after the game.

TNT remains the top seed at 5-1. NLEX lags behind, notching just their second win last night for a current 2-5 record.
Kiefer, however, who just turned 27 on Wednesday, also said, “I love you pa! Thanks for the belated gift.”
Meanwhile, his bunso, the Libero star Dani of the Lady Eagles Athenaeum, definitely took the time to watch an entertaining family showdown.
“A virtual fan for today’s PBA game. Dad vs. Manong, TNT vs. NLEX,” he said in an Instagram story.
