Kawasaki Indonesia has now shared a video showing the ZX-25R on a Dyno. While the video doesn’t reveal anything unknown about the motorcycle, it does bring the full sound of the exhaust to life.
While the motorcycle closely resembles the Kawasaki Ninja 400, it comes with a lot of differences. The motorcycle is heavily inspired by the larger ZX series motorcycles and features a sharper front fascia.
The motorcycle also features new LED headlights, an aluminum swingarm, inverted front forks, an adjustable rear mono shock, clip-on handlebars, a semi-digital instrument cluster and a gear position indicator, and comes with Dual channel ABS as standard.
Kawasaki’s ZX-25R features a 16-valve, 249 cc, DOHC, 16-valve in-line engine that produces 45 brake horsepower and 33 Nm of torque. The engine is coupled to a six-speed gearbox. The motorcycle also features multiple power modes, traction control, and a quick shift.
The motorcycle is expected to be sold almost exclusively in the brand’s South Asian markets, considering that taxes are lower for 250cc and less motorcycles.
The Kawasaki ZX-25R was scheduled to launch in Indonesia on April 4, however the launch has been delayed thanks to the current Covid-19 pandemic that has gripped the world.
Once launched, the Kawasaki ZX-25R will compete with the Honda CBR250R. Both motorcycles have high quality equipment to offer maximum performance. Considering that the motorcycle looks quite similar to the Ninja 400 that is available in India, the industry speculates that the motorcycle will not be launched in India.
In news related to Kawasaki, the company announced an extension of the warranty and free service periods in light of the blockade that followed the Covid-19 outbreak.
The company announces an extension until June 30 for all motorcycles whose warranty and free service period expires between March 1 and April 30 of this year. To know more click here.
Reflections on the Kawasaki ZX-25R Dyno Run
A Dyno race is fine, but we think most of us kick us while we’re on a motorcycle, driving at full speed on the track. If only we had that chance with the Kawasaki ZX-25R. With that said, the motorcycle sounds absolutely amazing, exactly what an inline four should sound like.
