MANILA – Jake Ejército refused to take full credit for raising his daughter Ellie.
In a Facebook post, Army shared that he has been receiving a lot of positive comments about being a good father to Ellie.
Although he’s truly honored by all the kind words, Army said he doesn’t think he’s doing anything special.
“I’m just trying to be the best father to my daughter,” he said.
Army also noted that he couldn’t have done everything for Ellie alone, “especially at first at such a young age and in a less than ideal situation.”
“God knows how it would have turned out without the guidance and support that my parents, siblings, relatives, friends and our Kasambahays gave us.”
Army also emphasized how Ellie’s mother, actress Andi Eigenmann, has also been a “great co-mother.”
“They are true MVPs! The photos and videos you see are mostly just me and Ellie, but it takes a village to raise a child and a child, do we have an amazing one? “, He said.
“For all young dads, there is nothing more satisfying and beautiful in the world than growing up and being your child’s best friend,” he added.
Army recently shared that he went to Siargao for the first time to find Ellie.
It should be remembered that Ellie had been with the Army and her father’s family for a year, during the coronavirus pandemic. It was only when travel restrictions eased that Eigenmann was able to meet Ellie in Manila.
After that, the two spent time together with Eigenmann’s other daughter, Lilo, while the actress hoped to give birth to her second child with her fiancé, surfing champion Philmar Alipayo.
A month after she gave birth to her son, Eigenmann, Alipayo, her two children and Ellie flew back to Siargao to resume their “happy life on the island.”
While Eigenmann and Army are no longer together, they have managed to be on good terms as parents to their daughter.
