Welcome to the game thread. Veterans of the Game Thread know how we do things here, but for all newbies we have a few rules. Our Community Principles apply and basically say: be cool, don’t personal attacks, don’t troll, and don’t swear too much.
On Tuesday night, the Spurs played their last game of 2020, and like many other aspects of that year, it was less than optimal, although it was a good birthday night for LeBron James. I even got into the spirit, because I incorrectly put in the game thread that the Spurs would wear Fiesta jerseys, but my information was wrong. Well, this time, it’s for real, the Spurs will bring the lucky Teal, Orange and Pink, and that’s why we should expect a win over NBA champion Los Angeles Lakers. That and the return of Derrick White to the lineup.
Dejounte Murray had his best game as Spur on Tuesday, and DeMar DeRozan had the fiercest dunk of the season, over Montrezl Harrell, but there were also some defensive lapses and a bunch of missed shots that should have come in. Tonight with White Back on the court, I look forward to a more consistent performance from the boys in the colorful jerseys and a better chance at a win against the champions. Let’s do it, Spurs and Dejounte must dominate Schroeder.
