Ronald Quiboyen, 40, was arrested by the Malapay municipal police station on May 13 for his Facebook post offering a P100 million reward for anyone who can kill Duterte.

MANILA, Philippines – Police officers filed a sedition incitement case against a Aklan worker on Wednesday that he posted on social media that would offer a P100 million reward to anyone who could kill President Rodrigo Duterte.

Lt. Col. Gervacio Balmaceda Jr., head of the Regional Field Unit of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group 6, reported that the Ronald Quiboyen case was forwarded to the Provincial Prosecutor’s Office in Aklan.

Balmaceda said Quiboyen also underwent an investigation process for the complaint, which has a recommended bail of P36,000.

Quiboyen was released to the Aklan Rehabilitation Center at Barangay Nalook in Kalibo after the suspect was unable to pay bail.

Quiboyen was arrested Tuesday night after police received a suggestion he wrote on Facebook that he would give a P100 million reward to anyone who could kill Duterte.

This occurs a day after Ronnel Mas, a Pangasinan teacher, was arrested by the National Bureau of Investigation for posting on Twitter that he will offer a P50 million reward for the murder of Duterte.
