The PBA players made the most of their time in the middle of the quarantine as they awaited the continuation of the postponed 45 season.

It took around six months of preparation for the PBA to successfully relaunch a conference season, the Philippine Cup, due to the coronavirus pandemic.

While most gamers spent their quarantine days training online and at home, some of them also took their precious time to rediscover other hobbies. Others focused on family time, while some provided help to those in need.

With the return of the PBA under a bubble concept a few days ago, players are slowly adjusting to a new life in Clark, Pampanga. Much like the days they spent in quarantine, these players did all kinds of things just to keep busy in their respective rooms at the Quest Hotel.

Magnolia’s teammates Paul Lee and Jackson Corpuz joined in with cups of coffee from the past few days, as seen on their social media accounts.

Magnolia’s guard showed off his “barista skills” by making “latte arts” in different guises, serving Corpuz as his first “customer” of what they called the “Letal Cafe.” Lee brought in packets of coffee beans that he received from his barista brother, who also runs an online coffee business.

Rain or Shine players Beau Belga and Ryan Arana are asking their “suki” to shop at their supposedly makeshift “sari-sari shop.” Laundry service will be scheduled in the bubble, so Arana thought about bringing a portable washing machine to easily change clothes.

The same goes for Magnolia forward Rafi Reavis, who broadcast an 11-minute tour of the room showing all the things he brought to the bubble. Reavis also became a food critic of some sort, documenting every packaged meal he takes from the table outside his room.

In one case, the Magnolia veteran judged packaged food that contained a squid dish. He insisted that he does not eat “squid” but in the end, he found himself enjoying the “curried” dish.

NLEX’s Kiefer Ravena and Geneva’s Aljon Mariano were among the gamers who brought a game console to combat boredom while NorthPort’s Kevin Ferrer and Paolo Taha sang and played loud music.

On Thursday, Mariano performed playing NBA 2K while holding a PS4 controller. But the truth is, he and his roommate Scottie Thompson were watching Game 1 of the NBA Finals between the Los Angeles Lakers and the Miami Heat.

PBA assured that there will be many amenities for staff, coaches and players in the bubble.

Even if these amenities were to be enjoyed, players are already showing their creative side and more entertainment is expected in the next couple of months.
