MANILA, Philippines – A police officer was killed Saturday when two gunmen on a motorcycle shot him in Barangay Culiat, Quezon City.
A report from the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) identified the victim as Police Lieutenant Samad Baharan, who was assigned to the Police Community Affairs Development Group (PCDAG) at Camp Crame.
According to the police report, at 9:15 am, a witness saw Baharan aboard his motorcycle when the unidentified suspects appeared and shot him. The gunmen hastily fled the scene after the shooting.
Initial examination by crime scene officers showed Baharan sustained multiple gunshot wounds to his body.
QCPD Police Director Brig. General Ronnie Montejo has ordered an investigation into the shooting.
