GIANNIS Antetokounmpo is not going anywhere.

The Milwaukee Bucks superstar said he will not demand a trade after his top-seeded team fell short of expectations after an unexpected loss to the Miami Heat in their Eastern semi-final series.

Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports was the first to report on the development.

“It is not happening. That’s not happening, ”Antetokounmpo said after the Heat knocked out the Bucks in five games, capped by a 103-94 victory on Manila time Wednesday, in a game that Giannis missed due to a sprain of ankle.

The loss meant the Bucks finished with the best record in the league, but they did not reach the final for the second year in a row.

“Some see a wall and go in (another direction). I went through it, ”added the man known as the Greek monster. “We just have to improve as a team, individually and do it again next season.”

The Golden State Warriors and Heat are among the teams rumored to be potential destinations for Antetokounmpo, 25, who has one year left in the four-year, $ 100 million contract extension he signed with the Bucks in 2016.

The Bucks can offer him a five-year supermax extension this offseason.

Milwaukee also needs to think about the pieces surrounding Antetokounmpo if they are to keep their superstar beyond next season.

“If winning a championship was easy, everyone would have it,” Antetokounmpo said. “We lost. Everyone saw that we lost. It is disappointing, but what are we going to do? We will continue working. I have confidence in my teammates.”
