Philippe Coutinho is a player who is still in the news about his future, and now a new “update” has emerged about the former Liverpool star.
The Brazilian has had problems since leaving Anfield in January 2018, where he sealed the transfer of his dreams to Barcelona.
However, it is a transfer that does not appear to have worked for either party, as the 27-year-old was sent on loan to Bayern Munich.
It has been widely claimed that Barcelona is willing to sell Coutinho when the transfer window opens, but according to The Mirror, that is unlikely to happen.
The report indicates that Coutinho will be part of the first team team in Barcelona, unless another club presents the correct offer.
Barcelona is said to be seeking around £ 70- £ 80m for Coutinho’s services, but the market does not appear to be there because the suspension of the coronavirus is affecting the financial aspect of the game.
New manager Quique Setien is believed to have different ideas than previous manager Ernesto Valverde on how to use Coutinho, and could see the player providing creativity in midfield in Barcelona.
The likes of Manchester United, Chelsea, Everton and Leicester have been linked to a move for Coutinho in recent weeks and months.
For a long time, the Brazilian’s future seemed to be far from the Camp Nou, but if you believe in the last report, it would represent a significant change of direction.
