Two men saved a turtle from the jaws of a tiger shark during a fishing trip on the Abaco Islands in the Bahamas.

Kai Survance and his friend Bronson Russell were looking for a fish called wahoo on November 22 when they spotted the shark.

“We were three miles from shore and it was splashing. We thought it was actually a marlin, ”Survance told Fox News yesterday, December 4.

The two also shared a video of the shark attacking the turtle on Survance’s YouTube page called Kai Owen Fishing. The video shows the fishermen approaching their boat to the shark before finally realizing that it had a turtle in its mouth.

The shark, still holding the turtle in its mouth, swims near the end of the boat. After fighting continuously, the turtle finally manages to break free from the shark’s grip.

After the attack, the shark swims deeper into the ocean, while the turtle, which appears to be in shock, floats to the surface of the water. With the shark no longer in the area, Russell pulled the turtle out of the water and into his boat.

The two then drove the boat three to four miles into shallow water before releasing the turtle back into the ocean. Following his unexpected rescue, Survance described it as a “once in a lifetime” event.

“I have spent countless hours in the water,” he said in the report. “Since I was able to walk and swim, I’ve been in the water … and that must be one of the craziest things I’ve ever seen.” Ryan arcadio /outside
