FIL-AM forward Taylor Statham will join the 2021 PBA Rookie Draft, adding more ceiling to what is expected to be one of the deepest in years.
The 28-year-old announced his intentions on his social media pages, saying, “Declared for the 2021 PBA Draft. All in God’s hands now.”
The 6-foot-6-inch Statham is an intriguing choice for PBA teams given his NBA G League experience with the then-D-Fenders of Los Angeles.
Coming out of Cal State San Bernardino, he averaged 9.3 points, 5.4 rebounds and 1.0 assist in 27.6 minutes in his senior year with the Coyotes in the 2014-15 season.

Statham also displayed his merchandise on the first season of Chooks-to-Go Pilipinas 3×3, competing in international competitions alongside Joshua Munzon.
Apart from those, he also had stints in Canada, China, Thailand and Indonesia, where he last played for Pacific Caesar Surabaya.
Statham, like other fil-foreign applicants, would have to present the necessary documents proving his Philippine citizenship, namely the Department of Justice (DOJ) affirmation and the Bureau of Immigration (BI) certification prior to the date. January 27 limit.
