June Mar Fajardo may not be physically present in the San Miguel Beer campaign inside the PBA bubble, but he is there in spirit… or virtually.

The six-time reigning MVP was seen as part of the virtual crowd during Beermen’s 105-98 win over Terrafirma Dyip on Monday night at the University of Angeles Foundation Sports and Cultural Center.

Still on the road to recovery after injuring his shin during practice last February, Fajardo saw SMB finally win after starting the bubble with losses to Rain or Shine and current leader TNT.

Fajardo perhaps liked what he saw, especially with Mo Tautuaa doing his role in the paint quite well with 25 points as SMB improved to 2-2 in the Philippine Cup.

Though not part of the bubble, Fajardo has been keeping busy conducting shooting drills at SMB’s practice facility within Acropolis Village.

Being in this stage of his recovery is a good sign for Fajardo as he hopes his teammates will continue SMB’s dominance in the Philippine Cup.

For now, Fajardo will have to play the role of SMB’s biggest cheerleader.
