Kiefer Ravena knows how much Filipino basketball to Calvin Abueva.
So when the PBA finally lifted Abueva’s ban, which lasted 16 months, the 26-year-old NLEX Road Warrior couldn’t help but be happy.

Ravenna is very familiar with the situation.
On May 28, 2018, the International Basketball Federation issued an 18-month suspension to Ravenna after it found traces of a prohibited substance in its system during a FIBA World Cup Qualifiers match.
Ravena was only able to return to the hard court on August 25, 2019, a set-up between Gilas and the Adelaide 36ers of the Australian club.
Ironically, however, Abueva’s first game will be against Ravena and NLEX on Monday at 4:00 PM.
Although Abueva’s return was announced before NLEX’s practice for their game against Phoenix, Ravena revealed that coach Yeng Guiao didn’t adapt much.
