Fil-Am NCAA Division 1 commitment Ella Fajardo said Tuesday that she is very open to playing in the WNBL, the first professional women’s basketball league in the Philippines.
Speaking on the weekly webcast of the Philippine Sports Writers Association Forum, the base explained that they want to give back to their country.
“I’ve heard about the league and I’m very excited, to say the least. And I’m sure I’m looking to join the league eventually,” Fajardo said Tuesday.

Fajardo was an integral piece of the team last year, averaging 13.3 points, 2.5 rebounds, 2.9 assists and 1.4 steals in 26 games. This year, she aims to hit the 1,000 point mark for her school.
Despite pursuing the WNBA, the teen is obsessed with having a coaching career in the future.
“You know, maybe afterwards, I was thinking about training in the NCAA or maybe having relationships with FIBA here in the US and really honing everything I learn here so that I can eventually bring it with me to the Philippines,” he said. explained.
