And the Alaska Milk Aces simply pounced on the Dyip’s regrettable decision, clinching a 99-96 decision when they again surpassed the .500 mark in the PBA Philippine Cup bubble at the AUF Sports Arena with Smart 5G technology.
The Aces played with poise and composure down the stretch that the Dyip simply could not match and thus clinched a fourth win to three losses.
Jvee Casio hit the lead basket on a layup, then Maverick Ahanmisi and Jesper Ayaay each drained a free throw as the Aces rallied from a loss to San Miguel Beer last time out.
Meanwhile, Dyip went scoreless in the final 2:37 of the game, cushioning five field goal attempts and thus squandering the opportunity to end a dry streak in the tournament.
