PRESIDENT Rodrigo Duterte will participate in the 37th Summit of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) and Allied Summits together with other heads of state through a virtual conference from November 12 to 15, 2020.

In a statement, Malacañang said that President Duterte is expected to exchange views with his counterparts in the region on matters related to the Coronavirus Disease (Covid-19) response and recovery efforts, the future direction of construction. of the Asean community and regional and international developments.

More than 10 final documents are expected to be adopted during the four-day summit regarding Asean’s cooperation on Covid-19, improving preparedness for public health emergencies, and updates on community-building efforts. de la Asean, among others.
