MANILA, Philippines – President Rodrigo Duterte has authorized the award of a one-time Service Recognition Incentive (SRI) worth P10,000 each to qualified government employees.
According to Duterte Administrative Order (AO) 37 signed on December 18, the incentive will be received by workers of national government agencies, including those of state universities and colleges and government owned or controlled corporations (GOCC), and the contractual or casual positions “.
“SRI payment to all qualified government employees shall be no earlier than December 21, 2020,” the order said.
The Armed Forces of the Philippines, the Philippine National Police, the Bureau of Fire Protection, the Bureau of Prison Management and Penology, the Bureau of Corrections, the Philippine Coast Guard, and the National Resource Mapping and Information Authority will also receive the SRI, according to the AO.
Only personnel still in government service and those who have served at least four months of service as of November 30 will receive the cash incentive.
Employees with less than four months of service are entitled to a prorated portion of the SRI.
Government workers who have not received any additional year-end benefits in 2020 in addition to the benefit under Republic Law 6686 are also entitled to the SRI, according to Duterte’s order.
