SENATE Minority Leader Franklin Drilon backed Justice Secretary Menardo Guevarra’s decision to investigate the unauthorized inoculation of members of the Presidential Security Group (PSG).
Guevarra ordered the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) to investigate the reported smuggling of the Sinopharm vaccine made in China that was used to inoculate some members of the presidential guards.
“I support the order of the Secretary of Justice Guevarra for the NBI to investigate unauthorized inoculations against Covid-19 using unregistered vaccines,” Drilon said in a text message.
“It appears that laws have been violated. The DoJ (Department of Justice) and the NBI are required by law to investigate. No one is above the law. The rule of law should be the rule, rather than an exception ”, he emphasized.
