The virus is perhaps more powerful than an atomic bomb. While the impact of the atomic weapon is specific to an area, the spread of the virus is borderless. It can travel from one country to another and so on and it will invade living things, including humanity. The virus can kill the host or create some irreversible damage to the host’s body and then gradually decrease or disappear.
Whether the vaccines eradicated the old viral infection like polio, smallpox, hepatitis or decided to go is a big question, which has yet to be answered.
By the time these new vaccines appear to protect itself from the corona, the virus itself could have changed its structure through a mutation or it would die through natural processes, a new DORONA virus could replace Covid-19, who knows? One thing is for sure that due to the corona pandemic, many pharmaceutical companies will be very wealthy. As soon as Pfizer and Moderna announced that their vaccines are almost ready and 94.5% effective, US stocks jumped.
There are rumors that in the purchase and distribution of masks, hospital beds, ventilators, IT PCR kits and antibiotics, there has been a lot of corruption. Similarly, the corruption of vaccines is on the anvil. For the storage and distribution of these vaccines, the need for an efficient cold chain system cannot be overemphasized.
The possibility of corrupt practices in the acquisition of such equipment cannot be ruled out.
Furthermore, in a country where kidneys are stolen and food is adulterated with toxic materials, it is no wonder unethical doctors can administer distilled water as a Covid vaccine. People would love to get vaccinated for a price because it has money or for free through vote bank policy.
It must be remembered that the Covid-19 virus can change its character; therefore, the vaccine may not be effective. Many people are taking antibiotics and other expensive drugs as Covid prophylactics.
It must be remembered that antibiotics or antipyretics are not antiviral. Death in India due to the crown is not reported because relatives hide the cause of death and sometimes doctors mention the cause of death as a heart attack or kidney failure. We should not get excited about the news that the infection rate is trending downward. Actually, it is due to less testing. The question is if the infection rate is lower, then why is the death rate increasing? If any NGO can find out the number of deaths in 2020 and that of the last two years, that is, 2018 and 2019, then it can be roughly said that the additional deaths were due to the crown. We took it lightly when the pandemic started; hence the current scenario.
Time will tell if the vaccine will be successful or if the vaccinated people were lucky enough not to contract the Covid-19 infection. I believe that the publicity of the vaccine will benefit some, but not all. Let’s keep our finger crossed and hope for the best.
