Do the Lakers really want to play this Heat team?

The Miami Heat are one game away from heading to the NBA Finals. Already there, the LA Lakers supposedly want Miami.

The Miami Heat are just one potential win away from sealing their fate. They are only one full performance away from the game before getting their tickets to the NBA Finals.

Unable to do it on Friday night, the Miami Heat now have a second chance to do it again when they face the Boston Celtics in a matchup on Sunday night.

Whoever wins the series, hopefully the Heat, of course, will have to face a team from the NBA Western Conference that has already sealed its own fate.

On Saturday night, the Los Angeles Lakers finally ended the Denver Nuggets’ season. After coming back 3-1 in each of their two previous playoff bouts, Jamal Murray, Nikola Jokic and their Nuggets failed to do so for the third time.

Here’s the thing though, after the game, there were a few different types of nuggets revealed. In the postgame show, TNT’s Inside the NBA For the Western Conference Finals, former Miami Heat champion, all-time NBA player and one of the best commentators on television, Shaquille O’Neal, left some information that we, as fans of the Heat, you might find it interesting.

Between 5:50 and 6:00 in the clip below, Shaq can be heard spill the beans. Check it out.

So you say you have good information that the Lakers want to play the Miami Heat, huh? Well, I don’t think so and here’s why.

The Miami Heat have yet to reach the NBA Finals, but that doesn’t mean the Los Angeles Lakers don’t want them there, does it?

When you look at the two teams in the East, the team that best matches the Lakers is guess who… Miami Heat. With a guy in Bam Adebayo who can match anyone, including Anthony Davis and probably better than anyone in the league, along with a host of different bodies to throw at LeBron, the Heat are actually the team that would give them the most trouble.

Also consider this, Miami has a team full of wings that at one point or another have been assigned to “stop LeBron.” Although no one has been very successful at it, Jae Crowder, Andre Iguodala, and Jimmy Butler have all had experience and don’t mind taking the challenge.

Add Solomon Hill, Derrick Jones Jr., and a dash of Kelly Olynyk and you just might have enough to get under your skin.

Lastly, and most importantly, this is it. LeBron James is a businessman, storyteller, and marketing expert above all else.

He knows what kinds of stories and narratives a Heat v. Lakers The finals would lead. the full circle the narrative is already spinning in his head.

Since I have no doubt that Shaq got this information through the LeBron field, this is what he has to say. Knowing that the Celtics would be an easier matchup, knowing the Miami Heat can match the Lakers, and knowing the narratives behind it all, that’s why this was said.

Next: LeBron James would have dominated in the 90s too

It is true? That, I do not think so.

However, either way, we hope it happens. However, we first need the Miami Heat to take care of business on Sunday.
