More than 700 open positions will be available during the online job fair spearheaded by the Civil Service Commission (CSC) this month.
In an online briefing on Monday, CSC Commissioner Aileen Lizada said they have already registered 729 openings from 76 government agencies, which will join their 2020 Government Online Career Fair (GOCF).
The event will be September 14-18 in association with JobStreet.com.
Participating agencies include the Bureau of Land Transportation, Land Bank of the Philippines, Bureau of Jail Management and Penology, Department of Education, and other national and local government offices.
Lizada said the number of vacancies could still increase as they extended the deadline for participating agencies to register until September 10, 2020.
“So for the other agencies, who would want to join [in the job fair], this is the moment ”, said Lizada.
The job fair is part of CSC’s 120th anniversary commemoration and Civil Service month celebration.
In addition to the job fair, Lizada said they will hold an online photo contest, recognition of outstanding honorees in human resource management, and a forum for public sector and human resources leaders.
Lizada said they will also post notices on their website later this month regarding the treats, such as discounts at some stores, that government officials and employees could take advantage of. Samuel P. Medenilla
