For this day, Inuyasha It remains one of the anime and manga franchises with some of the biggest and most passionate fans out there. Some even consider it the best work of the series creator, Rumiko Takhashi, and soon Inuyasha The universe will receive an official follow-up with an anime sequel project titled Yashahime: half demon princess. After reports of the new series previously appeared, Viz Media has officially announced that the anime sequel is in the works following the children of the characters from the original series. But that will not be the only aspect of the return of the original series.
Series creator Rumiko Takahashi will join the new anime project and oversee the design of the main character. Not only that Sunrise, the studio behind the first anime adaptation from the early 2000s, it will also produce the new anime sequel. Takahashi even spoke about returning for the sequel in a press release with the following: “The three heroines are beautifully designed. I look forward to their adventures.”
Yashahime: half demon princess It is currently slated for a fall 2020 release in Japan, and has been officially licensed by Viz Media for its English “digital broadcast, EST, and home video” releases. Viz Media Marketing Director Brad Woods had this to say about the upcoming big sequel: “We couldn’t be more excited to announce the acquisition of Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon. the Inuyasha The universe has been a pinnacle when it comes to delighting fans of all generations and we are seeing it now, two decades later, with original Inuyasha episodes airing on Netflix and Hulu. We are excited for fans to revisit this magical world created by iconic Rumiko Takahashi. “
Takahashi returning for the sequel series is especially important as the sequel is teasing Inuyasha and Sesshomaru’s daughters. It’s even more interesting to fans as Sesshoumaru’s daughters have been teased for being “Half-Demon” and this has caused fans to wonder with whom the lone character finally had children. But with Takahashi involved, the sequel must have a big reveal in mind!
