Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, December 4) – The country’s COVID-19 task force allowed limited meetings, workshops, consumer trade shows and the like to be held on Friday in areas under general community quarantine.

The Interagency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases said workshops, trainings, seminars, conferences, conventions, board meetings, and trade shows can fill 30% of the venue’s capacity in GCQ areas. These events can only be held in restaurants, ballrooms, function rooms, other locations within hotels and the atriums of shopping centers.

The working group, by virtue of Resolution No. 87, instructed the Departments of Commerce and Tourism to issue more detailed guidelines. He also said that local governments can issue stricter protocols.

Metro Manila, Batangas, Iloilo City, Tacloban City, Lanao del Sur, Iligan City, Davao City and Davao del Norte are the only areas under GCQ as of December 31, while the rest of the country is under a more relaxed modified GCQ.
