Coronavirus cases exceed 250,000 mark

AS THE Department of Health (DOH) previously warned of an “irregularly high number” of cases, new coronavirus infections spiked on Friday, September 11, 2020, bringing the total count of cases in the country to exceed the 250,000 mark. .

According to the September 11 case bulletin, the DOH reported 4,040 new cases, bringing the total to 252,964.

Of the new cases reported, the majority came from the National Capital Region (RNC) with 1,813.

The DOH report showed an additional 42 deaths, bringing the death toll from the 2019 coronavirus disease (Covid-19) to 4,108.

Meanwhile, the DOH said 566 new recoveries were recorded among Covid-19 patients, increasing total recoveries to 186,606.

The number of Covid-19 survivors, therefore, has now reached a total of 186,606.
