Cameroonian ICTSI unit obtains Logstar operating system
Kribi Multipurpose Terminal (KMT), the Cameroonian subsidiary of International Container Terminal Services, Inc. (ICTSI), has implemented the Logstar® Terminal Operating System (TOS).
ICTSI said in a statement that this is part of the company’s efforts to provide world-class service at the Port of Kribi.
An important step in the development of the port’s infrastructure and superstructure, this cloud-based TOS solution will facilitate efficiency.
KMT is a deepwater general cargo facility built specifically for heavy duty cargo and ro-ro projects, oil and gas industry, forestry and steel products, dry bulk and other general cargo.
Efficient terminal planning and operations management will streamline the flow of information at the terminal, thereby boosting port operations and productivity on land, said KMT CEO Kathy Magne.
“Providing KMT customers with the assurance that our world-class service is combined with world-class technology is a central focus for our rapidly expanding business in Cameroon,” he added.
Magne noted that, “With the support of local port users and our partner shipping lines, we believe the benefits of automating processes and information flow at KMT will help us deliver even greater efficiency beyond our fence and in all of our customers’ supply chains. “
This cloud-based TOS system provides first-class service and operations support to KMT customers. All aspects of vessel, gate, yard and warehouse operations are covered and all are fully integrated with billing and reporting systems.
