Phoenix Super LPG Fuel Masters interim coach Topex Robinson was excited following his team’s 91-84 victory over Magnolia Hotshots on Friday.

It was a much-needed victory after two emphatic defeats to top teams TNT and Geneva.

Robinson started sobbing in the middle of his postgame press conference and talked about forward Calvin Abueva.

“We always do it for Calvin. It’s very difficult, especially these days. But winning it for Calvin, it’s really great for us. We don’t want to lose again and go back to the hotel knowing that Calvin wants to help us.” and the best thing he could do is practice and pray for us and encourage us. I love Calvin. Everybody loves Calvin and we’re doing it for Calvin, “Robinson said.

Abueva remains outcast while serving an indefinite suspension.

Robinson said that he understands the position of the PBA and the reasons for keeping Abueva out, it pains him to think of Abueva’s absence.

“We can’t quit because a lot of people depend on us. We’ve already sacrificed a lot by being away from our families, we could do it for them. And I think one of the big reasons we don’t give up is … it’s so hard to get out of the gym or the hotel knowing that one of your children is not with you, “said Robinson.

Although Abueva was not present at the University of Angeles Foundation sports stadium, Robinson said the team was inspired by Abueva.

“You saw everyone cheering because we know that if Calvin is on the bench, he would do the same. We just wanted to honor him, we just wanted to win for him, we just want to keep fighting because if we are we are going to give up … we want to bring so much energy because he he needs now and we are here to fight for him, fight for our brother and fight for our families, “said Robinson.
