Cagayan Valley, CAR, Aurora, Quezon, Bicol will have scattered rains

The end of a frontal system and easterly winds will bring scattered rains and thunderstorms over the Cagayan valley and four other areas on Sunday, PAGASA said in its early morning forecast.

In addition to the Cagayán Valley, the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR), Aurora, Quezón and the Bicol Region will have cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms. Flash floods or landslides can occur during moderate to heavy rains at times.

Meanwhile, the northeast monsoon (Amihan) will bring cloudy skies with rain over Metro Manila, the Ilocos region, the rest of central Luzon and Calabarzon. During times of moderate or heavy rainfall, flash floods or landslides are possible.

The rest of the country, on the other hand, will be affected by easterly winds and will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with scattered showers or thunderstorms. Flash floods or landslides can occur during severe electrical storms.

Coastal waters will be moderate to rough in Luzon and Visayas, and mild to moderate in Mindanao.
