U.S. Navy Lancers Corporal Joseph Scott Pemberton / Office of Corrections Photo
MANILA, Philippines – The Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) has begun processing the release of US Navy Lance Corporal Joseph Scott Pemberton, who was recently granted full clemency by President Rodrigo Duterte.
“BuCor has received from the DOJ a copy of the Absolute Pardon granted to PDL [person deprived of liberty] Pemberton and has now begun to process his release, ”said BuCor spokesman Gabriel Chaclag.
He said BuCor is already coordinating with the relevant agencies involved in the process.
