BLACKPINK’s “THE ALBUM” is a hit on Spotify!
On October 5, YG Entertainment revealed that all eight tracks from BLACKPINK’s full album debuted within the top 25 on Spotify’s daily Global Top 50.
The album’s title track, “Lovesick Girls,” was ranked No. 3 on the World Top 50 chart on its release day, October 2. Cardi B’s “Bet You Wanna” debuted at No. 4, “Pretty Savage” at No. 8 and “Ice Cream” at No. 10. “Crazy Over You” (No. 17), “Love To Hate Me” (No. 18), “How You Like That” (No. 19) and “You Never Saber” (No. 25 ) also featured prominently in the table.
In June, BLACKPINK’s pre-release single “How You Like That” debuted at No. 5 on the chart and became the highest-ranking debut for a girl group song. In August, her single “Ice Cream” broke the record at No. 4. At no. 3, “Lovesick Girls” is now the debut song of a higher-ranking girl group. In terms of broadcast numbers, “Ice Cream” remains BLACKPINK’s biggest debut on the chart with 5,060,036 broadcasts on the first day.
