After multiple teasers and trailers, BLACKPINK’s Rosé has finally released her first solo project called R. The two-track disc arrives alongside a music video for “On The Ground.”
Written by the K-pop artist herself, the two songs feature a star-studded production roster featuring artists such as TEDDY, Jon Bellion, Jorgen Odegard and Ojivolta, who have worked with Katy Perry, Selena Gomez, Halsey, and more. Set against soulful guitar melodies, “On The Ground” reveals an intimate look at Rosé’s message of pursuing dreams and ambitions. The accompanying image captures the Saint Laurent muse in striking looks ranging from a hot pink gown to a ruffled dreamy gown. Meanwhile, “GONE” which premiered on BLACKPINK’s THE SHOW Virtual concert: it is a heartfelt ballad in which the musician offers his characteristic voice over a smooth guitar sequence.
