Biden Lugaw! Trump’s claim on electoral manipulation amuses Robredo’s daughters

MANILA – Vice President Leni Robredo’s daughters scoffed Wednesday at US President Donald Trump’s accusation that they are misleading him after losing several key states, saying the narrative is reminiscent of the 2016 elections in the Philippines.

“Hey, there seems to be this line here in 2016,” Tricia Robredo, the vice president’s second daughter, wrote on Twitter.

(There seems to be a similar narritivo here in 2016).

Jillian, the youngest of the 3 sisters, responded: “Maybe Biden just woke up in the key states where only Trump said he was duped.”

(Maybe when they woke up, Biden took the lead, which is why Trump now says he was duped.)

Tricia then replied, “Biden Lugaw!”, A blow to her mother’s critics who call her “Leni lugaw.”

“Lugaw”, the Filipino term for oatmeal, is a slang term used to refer to silly people.

Aika, the oldest of the Robredo brothers, joined her sisters with a “Rice porridge! Biden!” Cheep.

Former Senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. had accused the girls’ mother of cheating in the 2016 vice presidential race after losing to Ms. Robredo by about 250,000 votes.

After the recount demanded by Marcos, Robredo’s margin widened to 263,473 votes.
