Another day without ghosts saw Bianca Pagdanganan in a strong contest for her debut in the majors.

The 2019 Southeast Asian Games champion shot another 5 under 65 in the third round of the 2020 KPMG Women’s PGA Golf Championship, to move to fifth place solo, Saturday night (Manila time) at the Aronimik Golf Club, Newtown Square, Pennsylvania.

Picking up from where he left off the day before, Pagdanganan took the first nine in three birdies to start his third round.

The 25-year-old from the University of Arizona needed one less shot for the second and fourth holes, before finishing the first nine with another birdie.

Two more birdies on holes 13 and 16 closed the deal for the Filipina, finishing the round with another 65 that led her to climb the rankings with a total of 207 3 under par.

Sei Young Kim still holds his first place despite a 67-3-under mishap in the previous round. The Korean has a 203 of 7 under.

With the gap close enough, Pagdanganan looks to clinch his big win in just his first LPGA majors when the tournament closes on Sunday night here in the Philippines.
