Other Audi Sport RS models, including the R8 supercar, are scheduled to debut in the country throughout 2021.

Audi Sport is considered the high-performance category of Audi AG. Generates and develops the RS models, which consist of SUVs, trucks, coupes, sedans and compact cars.

The RS models lead their product portfolios in the Audi lineup and are characterized by unique designs and their ability for everyday driving while focusing on performance.

Aside from the R8, RS Q8, RS 6 Avant and RS 3 Sedan, the latest RS models include the RS Q3 Sportback, RS Q3, TT RS Roadster, TT RS Coupe, RS 7 Sportback, RS 5 Sportback, RS 5 Coupé and RS 4 Avant.

Each new RS model underwent detailed development on the North Loop on the iconic Nürburgring track, each registering at least 8,000 km of testing. This helps Audi Sport evaluate the performance of the suspension and powertrain components of RS models in harsh environments.

In 2019, the RS Q8 circled the northern Nurburgring in seven minutes 42.253 seconds, currently the fastest time for a production SUV, evidence of the tremendous dynamics of Audi Sport’s top Q model.

A major factor enabling this performance is the RS Q8’s 4.0-liter TFSI V8 biturbo engine that generates 800Nm of torque and 600hp. The engine can also drive the SUV from standstill to 100 km / h in just 3.8 seconds and 200 km / h in 13.7 seconds.

Accompanying the power is a unique bulky sound from a dual exhaust system, which is finished by oval tailpipes. Adjustment can be made in the engine notes via Audi’s drive selection system, which can change the dynamic response and handling of the RS Q8.

Being an Audi Sport RS model, the RS Q8 is equipped with Quattro permanent all-wheel drive, which distributes the power of the 4.0 TFSI engine through an eight-speed Tiptronic transmission.

The Quattro label stands for maximum performance, technical competence, safe driving and sportiness in a competitive environment.

RS adaptive sport air suspension with performance-specific damping tuning comes standard on the RS Q8. It can be configured for dynamic handling even while maintaining the inherently smooth and comfortable ride of the model.

The system can also adjust the RS Q8’s ride height by up to 90mm. This wet adjustability ensures that the RS Q8 can be equally at ease on city streets, off-road trails and on the race track.

What sets the RS Q8 apart from the standard Q8 is its imposing octagonal Singleframe, quattro blistering above the wheel arches, side air intakes and RS-specific radiator grille in high-gloss black.

RS-specific moldings further widen the RS Q8’s body by five millimeters at the rear and 10 millimeters at the front, creating additional space for a wider wheel footprint.

The 23-inch sports alloy wheels, RS roof lip spoiler and diffuser clip rear apron, offering improved downforce at the rear axle, add further refinement to the look of the RS Q8.

Inside, the RS Q8 prides itself on the exceptional RS graphics and displays in the Audi virtual cockpit and MMI, including a shift light.

Other model-enhancing features include a flat-bottom leather steering wheel, illuminated door sill trims, and RS badging on the sport seats.

The RS Q8 also has a comprehensive suite of more than 30 assist systems, including a 360-degree camera, lane departure warning, efficiency assist, and adaptive cruise assist.

Audi Sport CEO Oliver Hoffmann explained: “RS vehicles have a strong and unique character: spontaneous peak performance where and when you want it. This is achieved thanks to an impressive design, a high-end look and feel, and exceptional quality. “
