Athletes remind the public #StaySafe as ‘Ulysses’ leaves extensive damage to NCR, nearby regions
As Typhoon “Ulysses” weakens on Thursday morning, multiple athletes took to social media their constant reminder for the public to stay safe in these difficult times.
The strong damage caused by “Ulysses” in different parts of the National Capital Region and Central Luzon has stoked the fire on the ongoing crisis in the fight against the coronavirus pandemic.
With that said, the likes of Kiefer Ravena, Alyssa Valdez, Kevin Ferrer, and Jackson Corpuz have kept their fans updated on their situation while reminding everyone to take care of themselves.
Inside the PBA bubble in Clark, Pampanga, for example, Ravena and Corpuz posted on Instagram Stories with the NLEX star showing a video of the gloomy surroundings as gentle winds blow the trees around the Quest Hotel in Mimosa.
Ravenna is still in the bubble as the PBA postponed the return trips of the eliminated teams NLEX, Blackwater and Terrafirma to Manila due to heavy rains and strong winds.
NorthPort’s Ferrer was lucky enough to meet his fiancee MM Belarmino, but he also posted a clip of large green mangoes falling to the ground around his residence due to the strong breeze.
Meanwhile, Valdez captioned his Instagram story “2020” with a crying emoji, showing his surroundings engulfed in muddy waters.
At 1 pm Thursday, the wind signal for Tropical Cyclone No. 3 has been lifted as “Ulises” continues to accelerate as it moves away from the country.
