MANILA, Philippines – Singer-songwriter April “Boy” Regino has passed away, his brother Vingo Regino said in a Facebook post Sunday morning.
He was 51 years old.
“This day is so sad … my brother April Boy is gone,” read the Vingo post.
The publication, however, did not identify the cause of the singer’s death.
Popularly known as the “Jukebox King,” April Boy left show business in 2014 after he was diagnosed with prostate cancer.
In 2015, she was diagnosed with diabetic retinopathy that caused her to slowly lose her sight.
