MANILA, Philippines – Lt. Gen. Antonio Parlade Jr. and actress Angel Locsin met Monday and were able to clear up the red cloud between them.

“In a meeting held today between the Head of the Southern Luzon Command of the AFP, Lieutenant General Antonio Parlade, Jr. and the actress Angel Locsin, the issues that emerged in recent weeks were discussed, including the accusations against her and Sister Angela “Ella” Colmenares, trite and clear, ”lawyer Joji Alonso said in an Instagram post.

According to Alonso, Locsin condemned all forms of violence and terrorism and expressed his support for the government in its efforts to guarantee the safety and protection of its citizens.

In turn, Parlade praised Locsin for his contributions to “AFP and his continued advocacy to help the poor, impoverished and helpless.”

Parlade previously accused Locsin’s sister, Ella Colmenares, of joining the New People’s Army (NPA) in 2005.

He also alleged that Locsin was one of Colmenares’ supporters, while his sister was reportedly in hiding.
