Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, January 25) – American boxing star Ryan Garcia announced that he will then fight Philippine ring legend turned senator Manny Pacquiao.

Pacquiao, 42, last fought Keith Thurman, Jr. in 2019 when he won the WBA super welterweight title. The boxer-turned-politician previously said that this year he would fight UFC superstar Conor McGregor, who suffered a second-round knockout loss to Dustin Poirier at a UFC event on Sunday.
